2007 SEASHORE CLASSIC

LOCATION: Cape fear Community College, Wilmington, NC

DATES: Nov. 30 & Dec. 1

TEAM ENTRY: $200 ($150 to top 5 in state tournament in 2007)

TOURNAMENT FORMAT: 24 team Dual Tournament.

Friday – 6 pools of 4 teams (each team will get 3 matches).

Saturday – 4 pools of 6 teams (each team will get 5 matches). Teams with identical records from Friday will be paired in the same pool on Saturday. Pool A (3-0 records), Pool B (2-1 records), Pool C (1-2 records), Pool D (0-3 records).

AWARDS: Top 3 teams in Pool A, top 2 teams in Pool B, top team in Pool C will receive awards. MOW will be given to a wrestler from each pool (voted on by the coaches from that pool).

EXTRAS: Will host a college match on Friday night for the kids to watch.

We will have the very best officials that can be found (even if we have to go out of state).

Excellent hotel rates. Also, for teams that have limited budgets (most of us), we would be willing to put your kids up with host families from local schools to help save money.

Located on the Cape Fear river (excellent dining & restaurants within walking distance)

Will reserve Wilson’s (an arcade/game room) for Saturday night for teams that would like to stay over Saturday night and let the kids hang out and have a good time without having to worry about cutting weight or competing. A great way to let the kids enjoy wrestling, get to know each other, and have fun (esp. at the beginning of the season).
