PALMETTO STATE CLASSIC 2007

Dear Coach,

 

Irmo High School is proud to once again be hosting the Palmetto State Classic.  The dates for this year’s tournament are November 30 and December 1.  Entry Fee for this year’s tournament will be $135.  Medals will be awarded to the top three wrestlers in each division with the top three teams receiving trophies. This year we will recognize two outstanding wrestlers.  We wrestle two rounds on Friday night.  Weigh ins will be from 6:00-7:00 with wrestling to begin at 8:00.  We will wrestle some consolation matches in the mini gym on Friday Night.  We may wrestle consolation matches in the mini gym on Saturday Morning depending on time.  Wrestlers will weigh in Saturday Morning from 7:30-8:30 with wrestling starting at 9:00.  A one pound weight allowance will be given at that Weigh In.  Please let me know as soon as possible if you will be attending this year's event. We want to have a complete 24 team field.  One note I know that this tournament is early in the season, but there will be no substitutions in the line up once wrestlers have been submitted.

 

Please respond by email your intentions on whether you will be attending or not.  This will help with the organization of the tournament and give me a valid email address.

 

Seeding Sheet will be emailed closer to the date.  We want this information faxed or emailed by Wednesday November 28, 2007.

 

Accommodations:

There are several hotels in the Harbison Irmo area varying in Price Range accordingly.  I will attempt to get a tournament hotel that will give us a good rate that information will come at a later date.  Here are a few hotels in the area.
